can anybody suggest cheap transportation from the airport to the mayan riviera. we are arriving to cancun at 11:25 a.m. and have to make it to resort for a 3:00 p.m. wedding. thanks for your help!
USA Transfers http://www.entertainment-plus.net/tour_transport.cfm?aff=ancu2 We have used them before for transfers to hotels south on the Riviera Maya and found their service excellent as well as economical.
Thanks, we have used USA Transfers in the past as well. We are just wondering if any transportation is available from the airport.
ADO Bus is a possibility Google ADO bus.....they do come to the airport, and I believe it heads south to PDC.....the Greyhound of MX
ALTIMAN23 - sure, there is the airport transfer service available via a kiosk inside the terminal - very very expensive compared to USA Transfers Also the only issue with the ADO buses (suggested above) are that they don't leave Highway 307 (the main north south road on the Yucatan). They do go directly into downtown Playa - convenient if your hotel is Playa or you are going by ferry to Cozumel. Since you didn't mention what hotel on the Riviera Maya you are going to I don't think the ADO bus is the best option for you - they will drop you off on the side of the highway by the entrance to your resort/hotel but all of the hotels/resorts along the RM are located right by the ocean which is several miles from the highway - I don't think give your time pressure that you will want to do that walk, especially dragging your luggage. LOL You could go all the way into Playa on the bus then get a taxi there to take you to your hotel but it is just one more additional time element added to your already very tight schedule. IMHO, given your circumstances, it's probably just easier and more reliable just to do a private car via USA Transfers - this will take you directly from the airport to your hotel with no intermediate stops
Thanks again, I have already booked with USA Transfers. The best option for the timeframe and reliability.
Re: ADO Bus is a possibility X2 brother....and the collectivos are the cornerstone of the Mayan Riviera. They should have those things in every city in the world! Cheers!
