We plan on doing several excursions while at TTR. What is the best and safest way to pay for these. I have heard about things being incorrectly charged to credit cards, was not sure secure the room safe was for cash. Are travelers checks the way to go, or are they not readily accepted everywhere.
You can use your charge card but you will see it in pasos not dollars and yes you will have to make sure they charged you correctly. We take cash with us to do activities - you can keep it locked in your room. Travlers check will be hard to exchange and they don't accept them everwhere - we have meet a few couples that took travlers checks and they had a hard time. Hope you have a good time! Chris & Tracy
the front desk will cash any trv checks, we prefer the make any off site trips once we get there. if a bad weather day you have not lost any money. we also make several copies of the trv ckecks and passports, 1 at home and one packed in the luggage.
