A word of caution for those that do not eat pork. When you order a taco or torta of Carne Asada in the Yucatan, more often then not, they might give you grilled pork. I for one am accustomed to getting grilled beef, but it is not always the case here . So, when you order your meal, it may be wise to ask if it is "beef (from a cow, carne de res) or Pork. Although, I do eat pork, it is just nice to know what I am being served.
