The ballet, Carmen, will be presented at 7:30 PM, December 10, at the University del Caribe (north end of Bonampak). The performance is courtesy of the Ballet de Cámara del Estado de Quintana Roo, in conjunction with the Orquesta Sinfónica del Estado. Admission is free but reservations are required, as I understand it. Carmen is now "sold out". 700 culture starved Cancunenses are expected to be in attendance, tomorrow night.
It is said that 2200 people were "booked" for this event, though I don't know what the weather may have done to attendance. We weren't able to go, ourselves, as it turned out.
