    Hi
does anyone know someone selling a small automatic car - cheap!
We have been looking now for a few weeks and having no luck. All the small cars we find are manual. Its a first car for our daughter - her only requirements she states are automatic and not YELLOW.(I have no idea why)
Please let me know if anyone has such a thing for sale
    Thanks
    Tracey

Oh God no! NOT a Pointer!!! Blech! We had one. The steering wheel was not centered over the driver's seat. Seriously! We both ended up with back pain from driving it crooked. And the dashboard plastic was so brittle that we had to replace the whole thing. It was not engineered, it was simply assembled from random parts. And they were really, really cheap parts. We barely owned it a year and we were after it all the time fixing shit. It was a piece of junk.

I did like that the remote to set the alarm would also roll up the windows, so you could get out of the car with the windows down and walk away...and up they would go. That was nice.

We still celebrate the anniversary of the day we got rid of that rolling heap. What a rotten car. Fortunately there are a lot of people in Mexico who worship VWs so it was easy to sell.

    Don't buy one.

Go buy a copy of Autometrica...it's like the Blue Book for Mexico. It will tell you what models of each car were sold in Mexico. So you can figure out which ones come in automatic. And the ads you see will make sense, you'll be able to extrapolate the options the car has. And you will have some idea what the car should cost based on mileage and age. They sell Autometrica at most used car lots around here. It's about $100 MXP.

My daugter would not like you for a mom, although you are a wonderful one. Her requirements were sporty, fast and fire engine red. Of course I got it for her then she liked my Jeep Liberty better and demanded a trade. I think the Lib held more water bottles and other junk and she did not have to clean it out so often. Tracy, do you think I am spoiling her?
