According to press reports, the exemption given last year from payment of these large, annual taxes will continue for 2013. Cero tenencia en 2013 It reads that the exemption is available to those who paid tenencia through 2011. As I bought my car new in 2012, I am not among these. (I did not get the exemption last year, either.)
So, if I paid through 2011 but with a different car to the one I have now I'm still exempt? I know that we didn't pay any tenencia for 2012 for our current car.
Yeah we paid 2011 in July 2011 but haven't paid anything since, so we wouldn't owe anything for 2012 or this year? Someone had said to me before that 2012 still had to be paid?
Our last payment was 2011 too, we paid nothing this year. Pretty sure it doesnt need to be paid as we changed our car and needed to change the ownership name. We were just charged for the name change, no mention of Tenencia and since it's the same office I'm sure they'd have mentioned it.
Steve, I would think if you bought a used car, and the tenecias for 2011 was paid on it, the exemption would apply.
Dont forget that even though the Tenencia is gone, you still still need to get circulation card and sticker.
For those with inquiring minds, the website is now up and running. https://shacienda.qroo.gob.mx/tenencias/tenenciasx.php My tenecia for 2013 is over 4,000 pesos. Not having paid a tenecia on my car in 2011 (bought mine new in 2012), I get no exemption from this tax. In a few days I´ll drop by their offices on Lopez Portillo, off Av Bonampak going towards Puerto Juarez, and pay, again.
Can you or someone else provide more information as to where to go and what needs to be done to get the sticker and card. Thanks.
There may be more than one place, but the place I mentioned is where I went to pay last year, and this (today). Unfortunately, they did not have all the stickers, etc., that they have to provide when I went today, so I'll have to return in February to get what they could not give me today. My tenencia this year defied gravity and actually increased! The other fees were modest, amounting to less than 290 pesos, total. This covered what was called, TCP Tarjeta Circ. Produc; TCI Tarjeta Circ. Derech; DER Derechos _____________________
