    Hi guys and girls,
Our 3rd visit is fast approaching on the 28th July and we are cumming for 11 nights this time.
We wanted to try the Captain Hook boat thingy whilst there this time, any thoughts from peeps who've done it?
    Cheers

I've read that it's a good time (especially for families). I know if we ever go down to Cancun with our son we would take him to the Captain Hook thingy.

don't waste your time, it's mostly for kids, boat could get jam packed. They do some pirate fights , kid's jokes, etc

We are going in August for a family trip, staying at Rui. Would you recommend this for kids? We have a 4 year old? Or is it more of a party seen?

If you are going to be there for 11 nights, then a Captain Hook Dinner Cruise could be a nice break from the resort. We went on it quite a few years back, but can't believe much has changed. There are two boats that leave the dock, you play games on the boat, it is an open bar, and you eat a steak or lobster dinner. At one point the two boats come together and the pirates do a battle between the boats. We ended up getting pretty hammered and had a good time. They had a beer drinking contest with 4 guys. Doug ended up winning the contest and received a small bottle of tequila for a prize. He cracked the bottle open right there and proceeded to down the bottle, the crew was impressed.

Also they had started to do a "Sexy" version of the cruise for a while.
Some who went said it was pretty cool. The idea was that the fun people from TTR and Oasis Sens would fill it up. Might want to check into it and see if that is still something that's happening (it was adults only).

It's great for kids but beware it is packed, you have to wait in a long line for food and drinks
