Hey Steve...I own a screen printing company. Let me know if you want to investigate this idea. Send me a pm.-J&E
He's had them in the past. We've got a couple of CancunCare t-shirts, boxers and thongs.......Don't worry the thongs are for Melinda. Marsh
As Marsh mentioned we have tried this before. The problem (like the current bracelet thread) is distribution. First I went with a made to order and shipped system over the 'net from the US. Problem was it was expensive per item due to the mark up from the company that produced them, it also cost X dollars per month to keep the shop online and the sales were just not there to keep it viable. Then we tried selling merchandise in the TTR gift shop. Again the commission we had to pay TTR per item was huge, and they ended up hiding the stuff away in the hope people would buy their own merchandise that had an even larger mark up instead. Very few people went to look for them and those that did couldn't find them. We had to visit every few days to check inventory, refold and restock (or not restock as it usually was) and it became a pain. We looked into setting up the same system with the convenience store nearby, their mark up was lower but if people didnt bother going to the hotel gift shop to find them, I'm sure there would be even less going to the convenience store at the end of the parking lot. Although we can have them produced very cheap here, shipping to the US, Canada or UK is expensive as you can not rely on regular post and have to use Fed Ex or DHL. I also really loathe to sell a $5 item for $20 which was the case in all of the above, so nowadays we make around 100 shirts made per year and give them away on the cruises as competition prizes.
Have them made and shipped from the US. You can use Priority Mail, its terrific and inexpensive. I and I'm sure many others wouldn't mind paying a few bucks extra to be able to make ourselves known as fans of the site. And the publicity.....
I got the logo from Steve and I am going to take it to a local print shop and have a few items printed, Thanks Steve
Problem is I'd need someone in the US to organise this wouldn't I? Keep the stock, process orders, postage and packaging, deal with returns, email enquiries. Unless anyone knows any companies that perform that kind of service.
