Hi Cal, I think putting Davy's name on the post must have put people off ! Tell them not to worry - we will take a nursing shark with us, we know from last year that keeps him quite  Come on folks you got a join us Lisa and the wee fat one.
Davy is a riot why would you want him to quite down? He turns the volume up on any party. He is the one you need to turn a quiet boring party into a loud rowdy party.
Since we have had no takers as of yet, I am being to think that I need to explain the (Island of Woman) Isla Mujeres Day Tour-Catamaran Cruise a little better, so here is the brochure. One of the many “off resort” Optional Tours you can take in Mexico is the Catamaran day trip. Normally they cost about $60.00 per person for the day. We have been on the family trip, adults only trip, and private trip. All are fun and similar but they are not created equal. Tuesday and Thursday are the “adults” only days. These are great but sometimes with the mix of people from other resorts you might find people who can be kind of “a stick in the mud”. However a private Catamaran can be scheduled with enough people. From the resort it would cost about $100 per person, with a maximum of 9 couples. You are paying more because you are not “crammed” on the boat like cattle. We are hoping that with enough people Steve from “Cancuncare” can host our cruise. His cruises are known to be the best. The cost of going with us starts at $100 per person but can fall to $60 per person, depending on how many sign up. The cruise will leave about 10am and return about 5pm. A buffet lunch on the beach, Snorkeling, Spinnaker sail ride (if you dare) and unlimited drinks (on the boat) are included in the price. Normally the day includes an hour and half of “shopping” on the island. We have opted to anchor at the Isla’s beautiful North Beach on a sand bar and just enjoy the water. This beach is the one that you normally will see in the advertisements for the island. If a person still wanted to shop they could just walk to shore. We picked Sunday for our trip because if you were going to pick a day to miss out on the resort, Sunday is that day. The resort calls it “Lazy Sunday” and very little activities are planned. If you are afraid that you don’t know any of us and will be out of place, half of the people signed up so far have never met the other couples. We have couples from Northern Ireland, the UK, and USA. If you think that you will enjoy riding on a Catamaran (double hulled boat), drinking, laughing, listening to music, dancing, swimming, snorkeling, and meeting people from the resort please join us. If you have any questions, either add a post or send me a PM (private message located at the bottom of the post). The first time we went out we did not know what to expect, now we go every year. The Catamaran trips are some of our best memories of Mexico. Give us a try, Cal
Yehaa, Two more for the cruise - welcome aboard Les & Lynfa. Come on the rest of you - you know you want to join us, Lisa and the wee fat one
We have just gained two more from the UK, Joanna and Dan That makes 14, Cal and Michelle - USA Ed and Holly - USA Kevin and Lana – USA Viv and "poor" Neil - UK Davy and Lisa – Northern Ireland Lynfa and Les – UK “Sweet” Jo and Dan – UK I count at least 8 more guests on the site that could easily join us. At this point the guests from USA are out numbered by Europeans’ by 2. This is truly an “International Cruise”. This 7 hour cruise would be a great time to meet people from the resort, even if it is your first full day. We need 6 more new friends to make this work. Cal
I have come to the following conclusions on the guests visiting TTR on September 13. 1) The number of guests at the resort at this time is down. (Bad economy, Flu, who knows.) 2) The guests attending prefer a public packed Catamaran trip in an attempt to save money. ($60.00 vs. up to $100pp, depending on numbers). 3) The guests don’t like sailing on the water and snorkeling. (We have found this freedom on the water to be a great time.) 4) The guests are afraid to commit themselves to a trip their first few days as they might not know anyone. (They won’t know anyone on the “public trip” either; however everyone on this trip is staying at Temptations Resort). 5) They are afraid the Europeans will be topless and offend our USA purist’s beliefs. (Rest assured the people from the USA who have signed up won’t be offended, topless while preferred, is not required.) If you are sitting on the fence, please commit. We need 3 more couples or 6 people for this trip. Last year once we were at the resort we had no problems recruiting other guests, but we must secure the trip first.
Cal is right, these are great trips. We aren't going til Oct otherwise we would definately join you. Whether you do Steve's trip, the yacht, or customize your own cataraman cruise, being on the water is the ultimate experience. Don't miss it people, join in Scott
