I went to cancun last spring break, It was ok but super $$$$, those 60+ covers every night start to add up. I am debating between cancun, Puerto Vallarta or PCB for March 27th - 31st. I live in the midwest so cost of airfare will play a major factor.

I was wondering if someone can tell me how the Puerto Vallarta nightlife is? Is there a huge cover? I can predrink at the hotel so I much rather pay $20-30 and only get a drink or two rather then paying 60+ . Also if Im looking for more of a club nightilfe rather then a bar nightlife which is better? Cancun or PV. One thing I didnt like about cancun clubs is some are only open on certain nights.

Any idea what the club schedule is for PV? Also as a backup can you guys tell me about South Padra and PCB nightlife?

Cancun: You've already been and know the lay of the land. My suggestion is for you to purchase a party package. You get into the clubs every night at a discount and you get line privileges with open bar.

PV: Puerto is the home of the Electro Beach series. Not sure exactly who will be performing the week you go but it's a pretty intense schedule. PV is a little less expensive than Cancun but much the same.

PCB: Home of the largest nightclub in America, Club LaVela. PCB is a cool destination but if you are looking at staying in the US PCB has a few disadvantages in comparison to Padre. 1.) It's gonna be chilly, 2.) It's called Redneck Riviera for a reason, 3.) The condos aren't as nice, 3.) Traffic and getting around can be a b*tch since there aren't many cabs and if you choose to stay at a property that's far from the nightlife you'll be stuck in that traffic for a good while, 3.) You can't drive on or tailgate on the beaches there while you can in Texas. I'd definitely pick Padre over PCB.

Padre: South Padre Island has some distinct advantages regarding price and overall value. 1.) The airfare is cheaper and you can save more by road tripping it, 2.) You can stay in some incredible condos for an entire week for around $400 or LESS depending on what condo category you choose, 3.) The cover charges are less than half of what they are in Cancun and you can get a week's worth of club covers for $99 which includes 2 side trips, 4.) With InertiaTours(dot)com you will get 2 free sit-down restaurant meals per day with every booking (not some rinky-dink buffets or horrible food...really nice meals). Padre is a great destination and it's around 85-90 degrees in late March.

The choice is yours. Hope I helped a little...

Does South Padre have any club nighlife? From the research ive done its seems South Padre is more a drink on the beach all day type of thing.

If you can't afford 60+ to have a great time with open bar, stay at home. No one likes a cheap skate
