My wife and I are looking at all inclusive packages in Cancun and Cozumel for the middle of May (14-21). We are both in our late 20's and enjoy the beach, sunshine, adventure, nightlife, and of course no trip would be complete without a few cocktails. What we are looking for is this: 21 +, all inclusive with a nice beach that has plenty to do at night so we dont have to go the clubs or bars every night. Also we are the kind of people who like to do the sightseeing a couple times as well. I am worried that an all inclusive in Cancun will not be nice enough beach, and also worried that Cozumel will be too boring. Again, this is the first time I have ever looked into Mexico so I will take any and all advice I can get. Thanks, Tom
Well Temptations which has a seperate forum here on this board meets most of your requirments. Their beach is not that great compared to other mayan beaches. The resort however has all you would ask for and more. Go lurk on that forum and see what it sounds like.
I believe you'd find Cozumel a bit confining. To get to the mainland for sightseeing, you'd be faced with a 45 min ferry ride, each way, before you boarded buses bound for your sightseeing destination. The time savings this difference can represent can mean you have time for more of the things you like to do. Many of Cancun's beaches are very fine, and the all inclusives in Cancun and along the Mayan Coast also have fine beaches. All regularly sponsor sightseeing tours and other activities they can suggest.
While my husband and I love Cozumel, it sounds like Cancun is more what you are looking for. We just got back a few weeks ago and stayed at the Temptation Resort and Spa that someone else on here mentioned. You really should check it out! Sounds like what you are looking for! We are already planning a trip back the first of May. Feel free to PM with any questions.
Temptation is nice, but beach is horrible, with so much seaweed in the swimming area.. ugh. We walk by there every trip for the past 17 years. You would probably do better on the ocean side, starting at Km 10 to 20. From Km 10 down to 2, there are no waves, but a lot of seaweed b/c of the lack of waves. But all beaches are rather short.
If your looknig for something a little more laid back and relaxing, thats beautiful, all inclusive and has a great beach than I would totally recommend Screts in Rivera Maya...we stayed thier on our honeymoon and it was perfect....We did all kinds of excursions and none of the trips there and back were very long.....Stay clear of Chitzanitza though, i did that when I was with my parents a long long time ago and it was absolutly horrible!!!
