Here's a report with pics of our booze cruise on Sunday, written by Tom one of our neighbours in Cancun. http://www.cancuntom.com/?p=2857 And a quick reminder we have cruises planned for the 15th and 24th March. If you want to come along please visit the relevant thread that you'll find towards the top of the board.
Good job keeping the pics respectful and PG! I know that was hard to do!!! We just got back this afternoon and had an amazing time. I went thru 50 pics and only 2-3 are pg shareable! Will post a trip report later tonight or Wednesday once I completely sober up
I agree that you did a GREAT job keeping the pics PG rated...we're not in a single one of the pics, but I'm not complaining! It was a great cruise but the soundsystem and music both need replacement and re-vamp. If you need song suggestions, just ask..I will gladly oblige. The staff on the cruise was amazing and did a great job getting the party started and keeping it going. Thanks again Steve for a wonderful time!
I agree the sound system is not the greatest - we've been asking for years for them to replace it. As for the music what was wrong with it? What style of music would you have liked more of? Music is always a very subjective taste and what one person likes often you'll find everyone else but them isn't familiar with and doesnt particularly like. We try to cater for all which generally means playing fairly mainstream stuff that everyone knows.
In general, I think the music was ok. I know the mainstream stuff is really the only way to go with a big group. That being said, after a few days at the sexy pool at temptations, it's pretty easy to have the playlist memorized. So, when some of the same songs come on again later, it just hits a nerve. I'll admit, I was one of the music complainers early on the cruise, but I think it was just b/c the playlist seemed to be repeating (ended up being only only once) and we were afraid it was going to be the same 12 songs over and over again all day. It was not. More variety came around and the music was no longer a distraction for us. Either that or more booze came around and our short term memories evaporated. I remember thinking someone must have said something about the music b/c there were not as many repeats anymore. Anyway, the repeating songs at the beginning gave us something to talk about with our new friends and even brought about our first drinking game. Just another ice breaker on our way to what would become a fantastic cruise.
