Cabo has excellent weather year round, very little rain, low humidity. I would avoid Jan-Feb, as it can be too cold, and June-Aug it is so hot the sand will literally burn your feet as the sand is a darker color than Caribbean sand and therefore absorbs more heat. Been there in April, May, and first week of November, and all were wonderful.

Be aware that the Cabo Temptation has been converted to a Desire resort, so NO singles. Reviews have been mixed and occupancy has been a bit low from what I have read.

We went when it was Desire (before it switched and then switched back). Loved the weather and the views, it is beautiful there. It was May but would get a bit of a chill in the evening, no humidity. Loved the fire pit on the roof top jaccuzzi, the mountains scenery...it was very romantic.

What Matchandahalf said ,, and when comparing the natural beauty of the two Cabo is a lot nicer and not as commercialized as Cancun.

    It is also more $$

The resort is a lot smaller which gives it a more intimate feel.
They close some restaurants with low occupancy.

The perfect world would be Cabo in Oct. and Cancun in April.

getting there from the East is a pain in off season.

Our very first TTR experience was in Cabos April 2011. Gawd it was amazing! We love the San Jose Baja region and being smaller than TTR Cancun, service was a LOT more personal and the outdoor lounges, couches and firepits made for such a sensual atmosphere. We've been ask several times which is our favorite and we simply reply that it's like having kids..... They're both different but you love them both the same..... we were kinda sorry when Cabos switched to Desire but Cancun has been just as wonderful for us.

The huge rooftop hot tub at Cabo is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I'm sure you could easily get 150 people in it. We would head up there when the sun was setting and the action died down at the pool, and it was open til 3 a.m so we'd also use it late at night sometimes.

I've said this a million times, but it's worth saying one more time: I so wish that Temptation Cancun had built a huge hot tub above the washrooms instead of that Premier members' area that NO ONE ever seems to use. The sun sets so early in the winter months at the resort (goes behind the hotel), it would be so perfect to move the party up to a rooftop hot tub. I still keep hoping that they will decide that building the Premier members' area up there was an epic fail and put a 100-person hot tub in!

Prices are actually very good to Desire Cabo over the next couple of months...about the same as the 5-stars in Cabo (the RIU Palace, and the Barcelo next door).

    its beautiful there

been to los cabos many times over the years - have often considered living there in the off season...

once they changed it from Temptation to desire - hard for me to make that move to desire cabo

if I am going to desire

    .............it desire rm for me

    but

would consider going though if some friends or a good group was going - but from what ceasar tells me (he was at Temptation los cabos and now he is a desire rm) the occupancy most weeks is not that good

If Cabos did not switch to Desire - we are doubtful we would have ever gone to Cancun Temptation.

Cancun has its perks as does Cabos.

Cancun is more party - go go go - less relaxing. A lot of that is due to the 350 rooms compared to 150 rooms in Cabos so less people and a smaller tighter knit resort community.

It also has a much more west-coast feel which to us was a plus.

We are hopeful they will bring back Temptations to Cabos - maybe even buy a 2nd resort....... We curse them nightly for the changeover.

Cabo is a much nicer looking area, yes, but lets face it... unless steve branches out and opens Boobscruise cabo, cancun all the way baby!

btw.. friends went to desire cabo in january/early feb... said the resort was only running @ 30 % ish occupancy... perhaps a switch back to TTR is forthcomming?
