Cancun Spring Break from the UK *1st Time* Help?

Hey people I'm new to the forum and completely new to the whole Spring Break idea...so yeah basically I'm a newbie. I'm from London in UK and I wanna hit Cancun for Spring Break! I was gonna go Vegas for the MTV Spring Break parties & then PCB but I hear great things about Cancun!

As I'm new I got some questions for you that I hope you could help answer...?

1. First of all I wanna stay in the BEST hotel PCB has to offer, in terms of location, atmosphere & rooms...I have no budget on that, I just want a good hotel. I been reading up on here and I'm hearing a few names but if you had to get it down to one, what would it be?

2. I'm coming for a week, I wanna party hard, how much money do you think I'll need? What are general drink prices, I don't drink much beer but rather vodka, brandy, etc.

3. How hot is it there during the third week of March?

4. What kinda clothes are accepted in clubs? Can you wear shorts? Trainners (Sneakers)?

5. What's the ethinicity mix up there? Do u get majority Americans partying up in Spring Break? What are the local women like lol?

6. Is there malls nearby? I know it's about the partying but I'm still a tourist lol.

7. Will I need to rent a car to get around? Or use public transport?

FIRST OF ALL WELCOME BOTH TO THE BOARDS!!!!

Now im not going to be more specific with the answers because you can find them all just by searching, but since i dont wanna be rude, here we go...

1. Best hotel... it totally depends, want the best of the best... book at Le Blanc, that's where Jay Z and Beyonce stay when they come down, definitely not SB athmosphere, but for sure the best hotel... if not i would say ME by Melia is a great option.

2. i cant help you with the money issues for i am a local and spend way less than the rest, but if you take that most of the clubs are around $50 plus what you spend during the day, i would say around $100 or $120usd a day.

3. cancun is generally hot... ridiculously hot but for 2010 there were a couple of days when it was cold at night... so expect whatever...

4. Most clubs will let you go in wearing shorts and flip flops even... all i know is that in certain clubs they are more picky, like in Sweet... no flip flops... bars would take you on your swimming trunks lol

5. Most spring breakers are from USA, but its getting popular in the UK and France so you will find a lot of those too... mainly Americans local women are gorgeous (like me... NOT) hgahahah i guess it just depends on preferences... theres a lot of people who really like latinas and some others who just dont... :biggrinbandit:

6. Yes there are malls around the hotel zone... but the hotel zone is just touristy, going downtown is not going to where the clubs are, thats a bit more north... and i wouldnt recommend to head there by yourself unless you have read or talked to someone about hanging around downtown cancun and gotten tips from people.

7. No need to rent a car for you will be drunk most of the time and accidents are common around here... public transportation is real good around the hotel zone, dont worry about that

stay at the me! thats where we are staying! Def use public transportation!
There is a luxury mall, and la isla, and some other one I believe, but La Isla is my favorite.. because its outdoor!

 

Oh girlie im taking you to Malecon (Plaza las americas) you are going to love it!!!!!!

Plaza las Americas is awesome... Nice shops, and reasonably priced compared to the HZ
