I had replied to an earlier post regarding my husbands co-worker visiting and viewing the CP last week. I have pictures and will try to get them posted. Anyone who has reservations for the anticipated Feb 10th opening should be extremely leary. While progress has been made since our last visit in September, the recent citings or our friends show that it is far from being ready for occupancy. There seems to be windows now, but the entrance is basically non-existant yet. Of course, walking from the beach you cannot get too close to see up toward the pool area. So I cannot comment if the pool has been installed or not.. seems unlikely. Being a Palace member it is frustrating to call the main office in Miami and the reservationists are willing to book for February 10th. I would think that the reputation of the company will be comprimised at some point for the lack of honesty of the true opening of the resort. It would be much more appropriate to postpone until further notice. At least consumers could make arrangements and plan on their destination without surprise. We purchased our membership almost 10 years ago. We have always been confident and satisified with our accomodations. Yes, it is all inclusive and there are many other fabulous resorts to stay. However. for those who are first timers have the right to be informed that they WILL be sent elsewhere. For some it may not matter...Cancun no matter what is wonderful.
