Just got a "angry" Email from one of my wifes teacher pals. Our School system's last day is this Monday (April 19). She and her husband and her Mom and Dad booked Riu Palace Las Americas for a well earned vacation . When we stayed at GOV, we walked to RPLA a couple of times and liked the place. Now if "seems" there is this "Cancun Jumpoff" event that being held at the same time and RPLA is a host hotel. She sent a youtube video and to be honest it was pretty gross (for a resorts main pool). She told my wife "They should have that thing at that place that you like, Temptations". I took a look at some of the Video and told my wife "you act like that at TTRs sexy pool and you would be thrown out on your butt!!!"
Cancun jump off has been going for at least 10 years at the same time every year. I agree though, not an event I'd necessarily want to be at a host hotel for. Maybe they could pay/get an upgrade/transfer to one of the other Riu's? There are quite a few of them.
Sorry...I'm stuck on the fact that the last day of school is so soon. College I'm hoping?? Although, I now also have to go look up this Jump Off event also!!!
Not sure what you guys don't like about it...lol. Taken straight from one of their sites. What to Expect: Cancun isn't for everyone. First and foremost it cost big money. A plane ticket will cost more then you could spend driving to any of the other Memorial Day Week Black Beach Week Events. But unlike other events, Cancun is an all VIP event. Broke people don't make it to Cancun "they can't afford it". You will be meeting real ballers and shot callers, not fakers and wanna bee's. How you look and how well you take care of your body is more important then what type of car or motorcycle you drive "you car isn't there". Your game and swag is in full play. At Cancun everything is within the Tourist zone, thousands of peoples all going to basically wild out. One weekend, 72 hours, and no time to waste bsing. People literally live it up and spend on the best of the best. VIP all the way in one of the many mega clubs "not big clubs, mega clubs holding thousands". Top shelf liquor all the way, and hotels that actually offer all inclusive packages "food and drinks". The quality of the women and men are insane. The women with no kids, good job, and a gym membership and the Men with good jobs, head on their should, and who work out to give the ladies something to see. If I didn't love Black Bike Week and motorcycles so much, I would switch to Cancun ASAP. You will not be disappointment. Pros: Real Baller, no fakers Sexy, Sexy and More Sexy Top Shelf Environment catering to luxury "not the hood" Cons: Price!! the cost is a little high Plane Ticket "you can't drive to this event' You need a passport A little snobbiest with some folks, but just find someone else"
Silly leo: What really sucks is that our system missed soooo many days because of the terrible winter weather and they have to be made up. She had made her reservations back in Dec. In order to get out on time, she (and my wife) have to use some of their "personal days". After I got the email, I looked on TA and YEP, there it was !!! Never considered a Riu would host anything like this !!! Much less a Palace !! YVR!: You are kidding !!!! (I hope).

They got moved to Riu Palace Penn!! That's the one you can see from TTR (South) !!! The resort with the huge hole in the front.
Women with no kids who have gym memberships. What about women with infants that still rock abs? Assholes! lol. This sounds like a crazy party, but I can see where someone who booked ahead of time for a place like Riu Palace would not be happy!
I think he was referring to the women who are 20 years old and have 3 kids by 3 different men and are living with their Fiance.
