As it is June 1st and some restrictions are being eased, dozens of trucks loaded with beer arrived yesterday and today. Jannet noticed them unloading at our local convenience store yesterday and was told beer would be on sale today. I went earlier this morning. It wasn't on sale yet, but I was given a ticket to return at 2:05pm. Returned at the designated time. Only a small (socially distanced, everyone wearing masks) queue and no one else buying beer. 2 minutes later. Success!
Back to normal supply now, so no worries. Ironically I found some same beer on Amazon Mexico. I ordered three cases ten days ago, and it just got shipped yesterday. Should arrive tomorrow. Very strange that beer became unavailable because apparently 'production had stopped'. Only to suddenly reappear out of nowhere on June 1st.
Wait, MX has Amazon? Every time we have asked locals they have stated they did not have Amazon. Any idea if it is the same as in US? Do they have Prime...2 day shipping free for many items if a yearly Prime member?
Steve, a quick question for U ... We had can Coor's light beer at TTR last year. Will they have it this year? Does anyone know what American beers they will have this June ? thx
Apparently Prime account are only good for the country they’re purchased in. My Canadian account was no good when I visited Texas last December...
I am ignorant and your answer is interesting. I think it warrants a call. I will have the “boss lady” look into it. Oh, and you did not stop by and see us. You know, Texas is such a small place
Yes, we have Amazon: Amazon.com.mx: Precios bajos - Envío rápido - Millones de productos Also a similar online shopping site: https://www.mercadolibre.com.mx/ Some items will need importing from the US though which can be expensive or awkward. For small value imported goods the shipping can be high - tried to buy some gardening stuff for $30 and the shipping was an additional $40. Also bought an imported desktop computer for my daughter and it took 3 tries to get it through customs. It would arrive, get sent back, arrive, get sent back. We got it in the end, but not in time for Christmas which was the plan. Apparently Prime offers 1-2 day shipping in Mexico and 6-9 days from the US.
