Hi all, myself and 5 others are travelling over from Manchester, England, to Cancun on the 9th March until the 23rd! Can't wait now, its coming round very quickly! We are staying at the Crown Paradise Club, I know its not a Spring Break hotel but its more chilled and not far from Oasis where we can do our partying in the day and get bus/taxis for the night!

I have briefly read through this forum but does anybody have any advice for first timers?

Plus what is the best currency to take? Pesos or US Dollars?

    Thanks in advance!

it will be my first time to mexico to in march from what i can figure out it is better for use brits to take pesos. a lot of the trips and bars do sell entry in dollars but you can also pay in pesos. Any thing you buy while you are there they will give you change in pesos even if you give dollars.
so i can imagen it getting pretty confusing having two lots of currency to deal with
Im just gona stick to pesos

    Hey, my European-Co-Breakers :-D

To be honest, use Pesos... Just helps you avoid to get ripped of with the Exchange-Rate.

This will be my 12th time in Cancun and i always take some cash with me for the first day ( Exchange in the Hotelzone).

The rest of my spending money i straightly pull out of the ATM. This gives you the absolutly best exchange rate. No need to change to dollars at home or to take a big pile of cash with you.

    ONE and ONLY Safety Advice:

Only use regular ATMs at a Bank, NEVER at your Hotel or on the Street.
