My wife and I are in our mid-late 20's and are looking for a vacation during May. We love Vegas but wanted to go to Mexico for a change of pace. I saw Temptation and wanted to know more about the resort and things to do in the area. Interests: Drinking, sun, sports, How much $ should I plan to spend while there? What sights should I see/do: Snorkeling, siteseeing, etc. Any help would be AWESOME
Temptations is a good change of pace that you will like. How much $ to bring? That depends on how many night, or day excursions you plan, and how much you tip. At the bottom of this page is a bunch of available excursions. The favorite night one seems to be coco bongos.
My wife and I are in our mid thirties. We love Vegas also. One of our favorite things from Vegas is the daytime pool parties. Temptations takes the daytime pool party to another level. Crazy fun time but even more importantly instead of the attitude of it is more important how you look than anything else, temptations is all about having a great time and the motto really applies 'no one knows you and no one gives a damn'. So we found out temptations was an even better fit for us due to that party hard care free attitude. Now of course the restaurants are not the same level as Vegas but really no all inclusive anywhere is. But for an all inclusive we really loved the restaurants at Temptation. And just like Vegas the night life is top notch, either at the resort or the clubs. Add in the adult component of temptations which is basically guaranteed to spice up your relationship and nothing really compares to temptations, including Vegas. Hope you have a great time.
Regarding $, we spent 200 on tips on 6 nights. I think it is fine doing less than that though. Up to you. 65 for a booze cruise. And a little over 100 for a night out drinking outside the resort. You will likely find that you mostly want to stay at the resort though.
You can spend as little or as much as you wish here. You will need some tip money for sure. Some wish to party liek the rockstar and keep a bottle on ice with the bartenders that is of a brand that the resort does not carry. Off resort most new people need to do one of Steve's boob cruises. There is the ability to go to a different club each night which can get pricey. plus there are several good resturants of resort if you need a change of pace. Probably one of the best bang for the bucks we ever had at this resort was a V.I.P. bar hop arranged by Steve, I don't know if he still does them but we are talking front of line white carpet vip treatment at all the big clubs in one nite. They used to be for a fixed price plus a tip. I suspect that you will need to have a pre arranged group that has committed by collected deposit to get him to run it but WELL worth the time!
You'll get plenty of drinking and plenty of sun at TTR. As for sports, there's a few volleyball games throughout the week, and technically a "sports bar" on the premises, but other than that, I'm not sure it's much of a sports place (depends on what exactly you're looking for I guess). As for spending money, you don't have to spend any if you don't want to. The resort is all-inclusive, including the nice restaurants, and we didn't feel any need to leave the resort the last time we were there. However, if you do want to branch out, you always have the option of going to any clubs or restaurants or excursions as you so choose. We've enjoyed the snorkeling and the Chichen Itza tours in the past, but once was enough for us. The real question you need to ask yourselves, though, is whether you're up for a bunch of sexy adult fun - e.g. sexy pool games, lots of topless women, lingerie nights, erotic dance shows, etc. Of course there's never any pressure to participate in any of that if you don't want to, but then, if you don't want to participate, then what's the point of coming to Temptation in the first place? So ask whether that is the kind of vacation you're looking for or not? If so, you'll love it here. On the other hand, if you're just looking to lay on the beach and then go to the sports bars in the evenings, then there's probably not much point in choosing TTR over any of the other places you could go. In other words, are you ready for a "spring break for adults" kind of experience? If so, let us know what dates you're thinking of. We'll be there in mid-May as well and we'd be happy to save a place by the sexy pool for you, and serve as tour guides to your first Temptation experience. :daveandmo:
Kyle summed it up well. We love Vegas, as well. We stay in some pretty luxurious accommodations while in Vegas. You will not have that here. We do not mind as the fun factor makes up for everything. I usually hit a spa or two while in Vegas and have not done that at TTR so I cannot speak for their spa but I am too busy having fun to stop and hit their spa... Food is no where close but if you do go, make some reservations for the nice restaurants. They are good and the atmosphere is really nice after a day at the sexy pool.
