I almost called this thread Gratuitous Use of Flash. Or perhaps I should have called it When To Hire A Programmer Instead of a Designer. The web site is just a sorry vehicle for delivering information. Blech. But here it is: http://www.cancunfilmfest.com.mx/ How come they can't just, um I don't know, tell us about the films and tell us when they will be shown? Do they really have to play music and waste lots of our time loading elaborate graphics? And then they deliver the important info in two separate PDFs? So what was the point of having a web site? Oh and the web site doesn't have any SEO anyway. Someone missed the mark big time. To save you the headache of finding it, here is the schedule: http://www.cancunfilmfest.com.mx/horario_09.pdf And here's the list of films: http://www.cancunfilmfest.com.mx/programa_09.pdf Sorry for ranting. Hopefully the films will be good.
WOW Was it your understanding that there were going to be something like 156 films shown??? That's amazing. How do you choose?
Here is a review of Kashf, one of the films that will be playing: http://whirledview.typepad.com/whir...rs-gift-kashf-or-the-lifting-of-the-veil.html Kashf and another film that's showing, called Made in Pakistan, were both made by filmmaker Ayesha Khan, who spent a few years living in Puerto Morelos.
Ayesha just sent more more info on her other film, the one called Made in Pakistan. MADE IN PAKISTAN - The Documentary trailer: &feature=related
