What is the dress code for most clubs in Cancun for the women. My wife thinks wearing less is better. Any suggestions on what clubs or even nights we need to hit the different ones?
Your wife is correct Each club is somewhat different, and what clubs you will like depends on your own taste.
am interested in this too............for guys. i know its hot in clubs bu is it just shorts and tshirts or is it cool enough for jeans and a shirt sometimes? am going in a couple of weeks
For the more "formal" clubs, such as The City or Coco Bongo, the crowd is definitely more dressed up -- guys in jeans and fitted t's; gals in skirts/dresses, dressier tops, etc. Not sure if they will turn you away if wearing bathing suit, no shirt, so check around -- but if the place is packed you are more likely to get in if you look the part. At the more laid-back places, such as Slices or Corona Bar, the dress code is much more relaxed -- lots of shorts, tanks, flip-flops, etc. The crowd is more relaxed too!
No offence intended to any Nationality here, but what I generally see for males is: Brits, Europeans and Mexicans - smart trousers (long pants) plus smart fitted T shirt or dress shirt, closed toe shoes US/Canada - shorts, loose or armless T shirts, sandals For females the rules are much more blurred,. There's no real dress code at the clubs like you'd find in the UK, so pretty much anything goes, but we always have fun playing guess the Nationality.
