Ok fellow Canadians, we have two questions :)

    1) is there a good canadian/cheaper shipping alternative to wicked Temptations and the other us based sexy apparel stores? We just moved to Vancouver and shipping times/costs are ridiculous for being 20 miles from the border...

    2) what do you guys do for tipping? Do you use loonies and twonies? Feels a bit weird to bring a sack full of change :p

We may actually end up getting pesos for tipping. RBC said we can get it with 3 days notice. The benefit being that a 20 peso bill (which is about 1.65 canadian) is apparently waterproof. Kinda like our new canadian 20's i guess.

As for shipping. If you are that close to the border they may have a place like www.cbiusa.com which is a place just over the border in buffalo where we canadians can have items shipped to and pay like 6 bucks per package to pick up there. Not sure if there is anything like that for you, but it may be worth checking into.

    re Wicked....
I know I just got dinged for 50 bucks for shipping but they do have excellent prices which makes up for it. On the last page if you leave the email box on for promos you wile get a discount added.
They also ship UPS so caution about Brokerage fees .

    Don't bring coins
get 20 pesso notes, cost about $1.66 each

    Hi fellow Vancouverites! :aktion069:

Try eBay for clubwear...many sellers ship to Canada. Most of the clubwear is made in China, and there are Chinese sellers that ship to Canada for the same price as to the US.

Alternatively, you can have your items shipped to a package pick-up depot in the US and drive across to get it. I use The Letter Carrier in Point Roberts. They charge you $3.50 per parcel, and will email you when it arrives. You can sign up through their website by searching for "letter carrier" and "point roberts" on google. Customs will let you drive at least $100 worth of stuff across before they haul you inside to pay HST and duty. Two people in the car can bring more stuff. Be aware that they get VERY busy on Saturdays, and the border line-up can be brutal. Pick a rare day when it's not raining and walk across...the Letter Carrier is not far.

Also check out "Dare to Wear" on the downtown end of Granville Street (I think between Nelson and Helmeken). Some of the outfits you see on Wicked Temptations can be found there, and you get the added bonus of being able to try them on. They have all the slutwear you could ever want there.

Feel free to PM me about this. :)

I literally received in 18 hours from Wicked Temptations this past Friday.

Call them rather than placing it online, they'll overnight UPS costs more but whatever....

Hey Guys, if you don't want to order online I was going to suggest "Dare to Wear" on granville street as well, their prices are actually pretty good with a big selection of slutwear which would be perfect at TTR. I got Jenny a School girl outfit from there including garters/crotchless panties... did I just write that?? Lol

Never ever bring coins from your home country to give for tips. One year we gave some Mexican children a few American quarters at the bus stop and they threw it on the ground and swore at us in disgust. Use either American paper or Mexican money.

As a general rule, foreign coins are not accepted at currency exchange places. We take mexican pesos down as that is the legal tender in Mexico. Lots of people take American for tipping, but then I'm paying to exchange it once and then whoever gets it is paying to convert it.

I ordered a few thong bottoms from here. http://www.tinybeachbikinis.com. The price per item when compared to some of the other online places was amazing.

Just be aware, not sure if it's the same in Canada, but here the lowest pesos notes we can get are $50s, they don't stock $20s at all.
