My wife and I will be at the Rui Palace peninsula first week of September I was wondering if Temptations resort would allow us to visit to see if we would want to stay there in February.

I think you can get day passes that will allow you to use the facilities until the evening about 6pm I think

I'm sure they would give you a timeshare presentation.

You can get a day pass...I think they are a bit costly but a nice way to check out TTR prior to staying there

I'm sure they will do this too. It's an easy way to see most of the resort and what its like. They normally do the presentations in the morning, so the resort might appear to be a little dead.

You DO want to stay there in February...you just don't know it yet. Careful though, because if you tour TTR, the rest of your stay at RIU Palace may seem dull. Nice...but dull.

From what I've heard, day passes are prohibitively expensive. Seems like I remember something like $65 per person for half a day. So $130 per couple for just half a day. For the same $130 per couple, you can book a room, spend a whole day, that night, & the next day. And you'd have a room to change for a meal or whatever. Lot more bang for your buck. As far as if Temptation is for you, read a bunch of posts on the forum here. If what you read sounds like the type of party atmosphere you're looking for, it's the resort for you. No, it isn't the right resort for everybody. Just read Trip Advisor. A lot of the negative reports there just reflect the perception of people who didn't do any research and wound up in the wrong resort for them. Temptation is great if you are looking for a fun, adult themed party. That's why so many of us keep coming back over & over.

I'd suggest you just walk in like you're staying there and walk through the resort. The worst thing that will happen is that they as you to leave.

Sorry to disappoint you but they are actually pretty good about checking wristbands even during the day. I had mine cut off for the photo shoots during the Miss T finals a few years ago and was stopped by security no less than 4 times before I finally got a new one just to stop getting bothered.

You may get lucky and not be bothered but I was stopped by the front door as well as the beach patrol... during the day/dusk.
