Because of what seems to be our constant problem with sensitivity to the food down there we always stock up on Cipro at the airport before we leave so we have it for the next trip. Last time the pharmacies at the airport were shut down. Does anyone know if you can still get it or prescription meds at the pharmacy across the street without a prescription still? It's just a pain in the ass to get an appt with our Doc here just for the sake of getting a written note! Thanks!

This past June we visited the pharmacy quite often due to virus going around the resort and we bought several kind of antibiotics without prescriptions at the pharmacy across the street.

After TTR we flew to a different part in Mexico to visit family. We tried getting antibiotics there but no pharmacy would let us buy any w/ out a prescription.

you are lucky they sold you the antibiotics across the street.

you do, by law, need a prescription for any kind of antibiotics.

just go see the doctor at farmacia similaries (there are lots of them downtown) for 35 pesos and you can get a script. depending on what you need the prices range from 30 pesos to 100 pesos for the meds themselves.

The one across the street is pretty small. They didn't have a huge selection. (Didn't have what I was after).

You can try bringing your old bottle or just calling you pharmacy for a refill, some will call your doctor for you. Works here (on), for non- narcotics
