That's what I'm asking. Meaning, not book it in advance. I searched, but I didn't seem to find out if that was possible.

I ask because we are flying stand-by on a buddy pass, and it's possible that we may not even get a seat on the plane the day we're flying. So we don't really want to book something in advance and have to pay for it not be able to use it.

We used USA Transfers and they were great. I'm sure you could find something at the airport we were swarmed on by drivers offering rides just wouldn't know who to trust.

When you walk out of Customs and walk down the hallway to the end of the hall right before you exit the building there is a taxi/shuttle bus stand. You can pay for a shuttle to your resort for $15 per person to hotels in the Hotel Zone. On the way back you can just hop into a cab and if if you are in the hotel zone the fare is $20-25 but you must negotiate with the driver before you get it.

You can be deluged with people yelling "taxi?" at you. They are really not taxis though as the taxis can only take people TO the airport and NOT FROM.

People will be fighting over you for your business.

There are taxis, but not regular city taxis, they are airport taxis and very expensive.
You'll pay about $60us one way..don't do that!

A regular taxi to the hotel zone is $55 one way. The shared shuttle is $15 one way per person. Note that indeed avoid the people who claim to be offering you a taxi ride. Only go to the desk that is clearly marked taxi/shuttle buses.
