Can we get party favors easily? We want to dance with Mary Jane

    I am interested in this as well. We have all but booked our trip to TTR in Oct. and this would add to my (not so much the wife) enjoyment. I understand many people are opposed, and I respect you stance on the issue.

    Having been to Cancun numerous times, and never dancing with MJ do to the fear of getting caught or getting busted by an undercover.

    Im new to this forum so not trying to rock the boat if this is an unexceptible post....but for those who have info on this topic, I would be much appreciated.

    It is there if you want to take the chance. Me, the last thing I want is to end up in jail in Mexico and call office to send me some bail money. But thats just me.

    Any kind of drug taking can get you thrown out of the resort, it also puts you at risk of being ripped off, robbed, or betrayed to the police by the person selling you the drugs. The cop threatens you with jail unless you pay 'a fine' and the two of them then split the contents of your wallet between them.

    It also supports the huge organised crime network in Mexico that has been responsible for thousands of killings in recent years, and not surprisingly most regular Mexicans take a very dim view of drugs and those who use and/or sell them. Being shopped to the Police is a very real scenario.

    Of course, like anywhere, if you want to buy this stuff you will no doubt find it but the risks and repercussions are high, so high imo that it would be wise to give it a miss.

    I was at the resort a cpl yrs back and passed a women of a cpl that my wife and I had met around the pool and had befriended. She was crying on the payphone, they had been smoking and got caught at the resort, was kicked out for the offense. Security was very watchful of my wife and I the rest of the vacation, ( i guess guilty by association)

    A couple guys I met at the resort were planning a room party with "party favors". They had one of the rooms with a huge terrace. I always wonder how they got that room! Anyhow, I didn't go..no interest here in drugs, but the next day, the buzz was all about how the guys and a couple others that were at the party had left the resort and advised not to return. This was maybe a year ago?

    un-related to Cancun, but we were in Puerto Vallarta, and this couple we saw this couple being handcuffed at gun point. We found out that they tried to buy some party favors from a guy whispering *enter party favor of choice here* I do not think it would be worth the jail time you could get.. that would suck!

    Why the hell would anyone need drugs at TTR? You go on holiday to have fun not get off your tits, you can do that back home
