So, with TTR closed, we are off during mid February. Has anyone ever gone to Caliente in Tampa and if so, can you give us feedbacK?

We went back in June and it is mostly a weekend resort, during the week it is dead. You have to remember it is a nudist resort that happens to have weekend parties. It can also get pretty cold in February in Tampa. That being said it is a fun place when there is a party going on and on the weekend. We went from a Wednesday to a Monday and Wednesday and Thursday were so boring we ended up leaving and going to the local bar. This was last June.

We just got back from a trip to Green Bay and our friends who live up there are members at Caliente. The guy of the couple was describing the place to me...

Nudist, but not open playtime activity allowed.
Food and drinks are usually good, but on the overpriced side.
He recommended getting a condo rather than staying in the older "hotel" part, as the condos are being renovated (some in process, some still waiting) and the hotel is last on the reno list, if you can afford to do so.
And he too reflected the thing about mid-week being slow.

    Paradise Lakes Resort

John, can you ask your friend how Paradise Lakes Resort compares to TTR and Caliente?

    Paradise

Out of 10, if Caliente is 9, Paradise is 5. Paradise is older and rundown, pools are small and not nearly as pretty as in Caliente. Parties in Paradise are fewer and far between. Yes, both resorts are cold in Feb, no fun swimming or playing naked. Unless in jacuzzi or heated pool - only in Caliente.

There is also secrets hideaway in Orlando, It is clothing optional with play time anywhere and everywhere... except the lobby no play time in the lobby. We recently went for a weekend and had fun.

Dead during the day but nice at Friday and Saturday night in the onsite club and play
rooms. They did say it was abnormally dead that weekend but how knows if that was true or not. we are definitely planning another trip to see if it gets busier.
There is a bar at the pool and they are building a second bar next to the second pool. Cheap to stay in the rooms but the drinks are pricey and shitty liquor. I am a tequila drinker and they had two tequilas, well crap or Patron and I hate Patron. Got the worst hangover I have had in years from the Patron. They do not allow you to bring in liquor as long as the pool bars are open. The bar food was pretty good and the offer free breakfast and dinner which where not horrible but not great either. Just kinda so so buffet type stuff.

They are in the process of selling all the rooms as condos that you can then rent out. As they sell them they renovate them. If you can get a private owed renovated room then the rooms are AMAZING. If you have a room that is unsold they are lacking. Kinda TTR Pre-renovation room but not as nice. lol

Overall great time and want to go back with a group

Singles are allowed but found them pretty respectful.

The Halloween Party is the best for the whole year. As for the resort....more in lines with Hedo where everyone is just sitting around naked. If you are looking for a party this isn't the place. We had to provide our own music at the pool and were told to turn it off because it was disturbing other people. TR is for the party crowd and for meeting people and Caliente is more for the nudist and just sits around being naked with their nose in the air. For what it worth.....
