Any rough idea of a cab cost from Playa Del Carmen to the Westin? Is there a bus other than into downtown? Thanks!

And to answer the question, there is also a bus from Playa del Carmen to the Cancun Airport. You can also negotiate incredible taxi fares as it is pretty much supply and demand. For example, there is a place well known to Cancun locals called Molino which is 2 blocks north on Tulum from the Cancun bus terminal. Molino just refers to the name on the top of the building where taxis sort of hang out. There has been an awning where they hang out but last time I was in the area and noticed, the awning was gone. Will check it out today as I am headed that way. You can either take the whole cab or you can wait till they have 4 riders, each who pay $45 pesos, about $4 US, or I have been known to pay the whole deal and just go alone or with a friend. They go right to the Playa bus terminal. Fast and cheap. And you can go back to Molino, the airport or a hotel for pretty much the same money. You just have to be prepared to talk to more than one cabbie. Keep in mind supply and demand, and that you are a rich tourist and most folks will want every dime they can get out of you. Make that dollar as they cannot do anything with US coins; cannot convert to pesos. Good luck.
