How many sign shops there , I am wondering if there is a need for that service I am thinking of moving there. can some one do a little recon for me.? thanks
I couldn't give you an exact figure but there are lots of them. There is a high demand for signs and banners etc so maybe there is room for another.
If you've got a unique product, you could take it anywhere. It strikes me that this type of business is not about being the only one in the area, it's about offering something special. As Steve implied, Mexico is a developed market. There are services of all kinds, all ready well established here; but, offer a better service and you're "in business". In this respect, it has to be just like anywhere else.
I am trying to get some inside info, before I go check it out for my self, I am trying to decide do I start in a large population like cancun or start in a newer market like tulum and hope that it grows fast.
Not only are there a lot of sign/banner shops here but, the price are very competitive. I just bought a 3 x 10 color banner (made of some kind of soft "plastic" material) and it only cost the equivalent of $10 usd. I also paid $20 usd for 1,000 color business cards.
It cost more than that to make, that banner would be over 120.00 dollars if this is true I would be better off doing something different got any suggestions.
has any one seen a business , repair iphone, cell phone repair ? would that be a good business in cancun.???
