Hey CCC'ers! Our foursome is leaving for TTR on the 10th. Our trip was booked through Sunwing, which says it includes transportation to/from the hotel. However I've seen several threads about booking privately. Whats the story here?
we were on Sunwing in January and had to wait at the airport for 1.5 hours for some people that had problems getting through customs...total nightmare when you just want to get to the resort. AND then 8 stops along the way...never again!! On the way back to the airport it wasn't too bad because we are the last stop and then right to the airport.
I booked through sunwing and for some reason, and had no problems at all. It took us 5mins to find the rep, and they took us right to the van. (8 seater) Ask the driver to go through town and you will be the first stop, versus going through the hotel zone first to drop off everyone. If you go through that way, you will be one of teh last off the van for sure. Remember to tip! Even better, talk to the driver first (tip in hand) and you will get the service you desire! Although I have heard wonderful things about USA! 55 return.
your own private car/van is the way to go. Straight to the resort AND you could request a few cold ones to have on the way...
Sunwing ??? you may want to book another plane too Some have are having there trip cancelled even before they book, They have oversold TTR
dont take a bus that takes forever stopping at other hotels before the last one which will be TTR..book USA Transfers..always on time and you are at the hotel in 20 min flat
