Mosquitos, we have military strength repellant and I hear that you can buy the raid plug ins in Cancun, are they available locally or is it a trip to Walmart ?
Chiggers, we don't have these beasties in the UK. I hear that you shouldn't walk on the grass, does that apply at TTR or are the grounds treated ?
Sand fleas, are they a problem in May ?

And finally, I saw a documentary about Mexican bugs and among them was a spider that gives a a painful bite. One of the side effects in men is it causes a 3 day erection............................

Where can I buy one :D

I hope that's the case when we're there in late May. Mosquitoes love me and it drives me crazy!

I have been to TTR several times in May - there are ALWAYS mosquitoes (maybe this year we will luck out and have none :wink3:). Bring some bug spray because it is quite expensive in the nearby shops. I typically bring the "dry spray" formulation OFF makes.

    See you there!

of all the trips ive been on , only last year did the mosquitoes noticeably bother me and that was when I was hanging on a patio in the garden area. Im sure they are out there, just for me ive never had a problem with any type of critter or spider or anything else, besides the occasional mosquitoe

Never had a problem with bugs (mosquitoes) even in May. Maybe they don't like the taste of alcohol.
