We never use it in Cancun, now if your down around playa then thats different. I always bring some just encase though.
Have had no trouble for 3 trips, one trip in July got bitten to death. We always take industrial strength 50% DEET bug spray, and are very happy to bring it home unused!
I never have a problem with bugs, it could be the amount of hair I have on my legs, but whenever we're in the Caribbean Ali manages to get bitten by something and has a horrible reaction to them, she has a few scars even. She must have a very desirable type of blood or something. I know, helpful answer wasn't it?
sometimes you get bites around the ankles, never seem to see the culprits, they take for ever to heal. other times, don't get a thing, they usually bug me and not Bonnie,
if bugs like to bite you, take it!!!!!!!!!!!!! got the crap bite out of me, there in april, was kinda oozy the next day! so safe, not sorry!!
never had a problem in May. But was probably too drunk and to much nudity to notice. lol. we Did bring some but never used it.
