Last year it was mostly hype. I don't have high expectations for this year, although I have seen resorts and attractions getting in on Buen Fin. Last year it was mostly just large stores.

From asking around a bit, it seems like big stores and big ticket items had almost non-existent discounts. Clothing and alcohol, however, seemed to have decent sales going on.
