Hoping someone can help me out... what is the benefit of having a Bubba Mug over a different type of insulated cup/mug? I totally understand the need for your own beverage holder and I have several insulated covered cups that we use when we are at the pool at home. Is there a reason I should buy an actual "Bubba Mug" instead of bringing something I already have? :beer4:
They have worked better than any other insulated cup I have ever had. It might be a TTR thing, but they are really good at keeping the cold, cold
We bring those tumblers that are like plastic glasses with screw on lids with attached straws. I tend to like them better than the Bubba mugs myself. You will see all different mugs/cups/etc around.
I buy a canadian flag Bubba mug for every trip then give it to one of the staff at the end of the trip. cheaper than buying any of the crap in the hotel store.
We bought cheap insulated mugs from Walmart and brought those. They worked great! In fact kept some of the drinks too cold. lol
The "need" is for a device which satisfies the following: 1. A Container for drinks; 2. Easily controlled in one hand; 3.) Insulated; & 4. At least 16 oz. in size. Reasons: 1. You can't just stick your head over the bar and go upside down for the drinks. Well, at least not until ... say ... 3:00 p.m. or so. 2. You'll want that hand free. Trust me. Shaking hands, high-fiving, hugging, ass-smacking & grabbing, knuckle-bumping, hand-holding with your bed-buddy or someone you want to be your bed-buddy, rail-holding, tanning protection application on yourself or someone else, you get the point. 3. It can get downright STEAMY (temperature) at poolside and down at the beach, you don't want your drink to get hot on ya. 4. A pint would be the minimum acceptable size for the Bubba-Mug, I think. A good size, you ain't going to be driving anywhere, right? Filled with beers, margaritas, mixed ro frozen drinks, whatever. Even if insualated, I noticed that the 312 oz. size can't quite keep it cold for as long as the drink volume lasts. Yeah, it's free to re-fill it, but it goes to waste and that is against alcohol-rules.
