This is BBC motoring programme TOP GEAR; they did a special where they were challenged to buy a car each for $1000 and drive them from Florida to New Orleans...The Producers gave them several challenges on the way (including having to eat Roadkill)..On the way they encountered trouble with some of the Alabama locals (who'd had a sense of humor bypass!!!)..They and their camera crew were lucky to get out alive!!! I watched this programme two weeks ago - it was skill!!!!! Loved the bit where clarkson got the cow ontop of his car!!!!
That is too funny. :lol: Yup, the Deep South is very special place and has many of it's own different customs from the rest of the U.S. Both Northern Yanks (Americans living in northern states) and Foreigners can feel unwelcome at certain times. Question: Could this have a similar reaction if someone were to paint "Princess Di sucks" on a black British taxi and cruise around London :?:
Absolutely!!! And coming from one of the world capitals of ignorant intolerance, I can say you'd have a similar reaction if you drove round the wrong part of Belfast with either "Ian Paisley" or "Gerry Adams" sucks!!! Though normally we're not that polite!!!
Doubt it dude... I'm in the process of selling up and leaving Northern Ireland to live in Chester in NW England; will see how that goes and maybe get a short-notice week in somewhere before I drop !!!
