You're allowed up to 2 liters per person. The duty free shop at the airport has a good selection and good prices. Also they deliver it to you right as you board the plane, so you don't have to worry about shoving it into your checked bag with padding, etc.

Make sure you know the prices back home on stuff before you go.

I live in WI and many times I can buy the stuff cheaper back home or about the same price as I can in Mexico. Kahula for some reason always seems to be cheaper.

WaL-mart does have good prices, but you can't get it through security to carry on, which means you have to pack in (well-padded) in your checked bag and pray it doesn't break while being handled by the bag throwers.

At the Duty Free shop at the airport, you just carry it in the overhead bin.

I find the best prices are on high end imported liquors. The liter of Kahlua in the airport was 12 dollars, at home it's 26. Liter of Grand Marnier in Mx, 32 bucks, at home-48.

The other benefit is the large selection of good (ie. 100% agave) tequilas, usually in the 17 to 22 dollar range that are closer to 35 or 40 here in the states.

I picked up some Belvedre vodka & Parton tequila in the airport df shop last time around & it was about 8 bucks less than prices here in oklahoma. we got some high-ass liquor taxes here.

The shops at the airport are usually more expensive than a liquor store in the city.
