hehe....Mother's day at my house was cute. 7:30am, text message from Kevin saying Happy Mom's day and love you...(awww he's away at school until Friday) 8:03am, the girls come around the corner of the bed to my side with a 'breakfast' for champions. On a TV tray, they had put my card, a strawberry yogurt, a hardboiled egg inside of a plastic easter egg, and a mini-coconut creme cheesecake bite, and 19.9999 oz of orange juice in a 20 oz glass. Yelling HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!! (not bad for a 9 and 5 year old!) It was too cute. Lunch was chinese food and dinner was grilled pork chops and green beans at home. I napped inbetween those dinners....it was great. All in all..a super mother's day What did you get or do on Mother's day?????
Sounds like a great day!! I love it when they are little I got a gift cert. where I get my hair done, and a digital picture frame.
That is so cute. Great job for the kids. Obviously love their mom lots! I am in NJ now for training for work. So I spent yesterday flying here. However for the first time, I did get a card from my stepdaughter. I was touched! Happy Mom's Day to all! Katie
Oooh Terri, those digital picture frames are cool...I want one of those! Katie..that is awesome that you got a card from her! That says a lot!
I got an outfit and card from Rog. He actually wrote a poem inside my card about how great a mother I was to our daughter. Very touching. However, we had our moms over for lunch/dinner and basically worked my butt off trying to get ready for that and cleaning up. All in all...it was a nice day.
Tonya ~ how sweet. I can't wait til I can get spoiled in bed like that. I would've been happy with a juice box Terri ~ I love g/c so I can pamper myself....we deserve it. Katie ~ What a wonderful feeling to finally get a card from your step-daughter. Does she live near you? Where in NJ are you? Bridget ~ Rog seems like a nice guy. I was over my moms house as well and we were taking care of everything for her. Even though there were other mothers around, we all seem to do the work...even on mothers day.
bridget, new clothes are always great! as far as doing all the work...it always seems to work that way...men have it so easy come father's day...well most days actually lol Angie...a juice box would have been great too...they just crack me up sometimes with their ideas....its so very sweet.
Roger is probably one of the best male shoppers. He has even bought me bathing suits and stuff. My brother really helped out a lot on Sunday. Once all the prep was done I was able to relax a little bit. And Mya took a 4 HOUR nap on Sunday so that was fabulous.
She slept from 3-7pm and then was ready to go back to bed at 8:30. So that worked out well. Last night she walked into the kitchen and asked for milk (she is 20 months) and then got her milk and walked into her bedroom and pulled her blanket out of her crib and looked at me and said "nite nite" and of course I was like absolutely. I am going out of town tonight (for a girls trip to a concert  ) and Roger said...hopefully she will go down that easy for me tomorrow...I told him that there wasn't a chance in hell she would
