Trying to book for 3 days and still no success. Finally got booked yesterday, then an overnight email that our trip was cancelled. In 20 years of booking Caribbean trips (1 or 2 a year) I've never encountered this level of incompetency. Very frustrated as our dates are coming up the 26th.
In all those bookings, Mexico, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Bahamas, etc, I've never had a trip paid for, confirmed, then cancelled by email in the middle of the night. Going on 36 hours and haven't got my funds back yet.
I booked our trip to TTR last year through Orbitz and had zero issues. But...this past weekend I booked airfare only through Orbitz and had a problem. Went through the whole booking process and then it cancelled my booking and said the flight went up considerably in price. My credit card was never charged though. Makes me think twice about booking anything through them again for sure! Hope you get everything sorted out soon!
I've always used Orbitz. I check many sites, but Orbitz always has the best price. Hope this is an isolated incidence.
Interesting this thread popped up. I've used Orbitz for years with no issues. However, the friends that are coming with us to Temptation used Orbitz for this trip and are having a nightmare experience with them. Orbitz charged them for the trip but yet has NO record of the reservation on file or the charge on file yet the charge is clearly still on their account. They are having to get their local credit union involved and all.
Orbitz We had no problems when using Orbitz when booking our trip to TTR except when stupid ass me clicked on the wrong resort. I called them and they took care of it without any fees. :doh: T
