we are interested in trying out Temptation Resort for 2-3 nights before we head to Desire. In the past when we have booked travel we have found that using an agent is no more expensive, and usually comes with a few free perks such as a free upgraded room or free massage etc. What is the best way to book a room at Temptation? Through the resort direct? Through a Travel Agent? Also, when we looked at Temptation resort web page 3 days ago it gave us a price of $232/nt Now it is telling us $496/nt??? We plan to go in early January.....
Since our upcoming trip is our first I cannot give any expert advise on TTR. But if U are researching a web site repeatedly , clear your cookies and web search history between searches... We used a agent who booked us a package with US Airways ...got everything included at what we felt a good price... If we go back we might try something different, but for newbies a package plan was the easiest .. IF U want the travel agent name and phone number (USA) pm me and I will get it for U... good luck..

what is the typical rate that TTR costs for January? I thought that I saw $232 three days ago, but now I am wondering if that was the per person rate, meaning actually $464/nt for a couple? in other words, would it be impossible that I could of saw a rate of $232/nt for a couple?
We are paying $133 a night per couple in October. We used cheaptickets.com. And they rotate coupon codes from 10 to 15 to 18 to 20% off. Just need to wait for the right week. Right now the price is $199 but that is bc we r a month out. As for jan, if u r looking at New Years it is always way higher but later in January u should be able to find under $200 a night total. I can always beat the travel agent price by comparing cheaptickets, alpharooms and Expedia packages. Good luck.
Thanks for the input so far....the best I can find for Jan 2 -5 is about $350/nt. Should I wait a week or so and check again, or is this price likely to stick?
We use cheap tickets most of the time and find the process hard to beat. We also use alpha rooms and book the airfare seperate. If we don't use cheap tickets it's because we have free airfare points with jet blue.
