Hi everyone, We have read the rave reviews of the Boobs Cruise. Sounds great. It's our first time to TTR and we only have 3 days and 4 nights there. Not sure we want to spend one whole day on the boat. The other question I have is, what about seasickness? Anyone find that to be a problem? Do you take gravol before you go? :ernaehrung023: How many people can book on one cruise? Thanks for the newbie help.
My wife gets terribly seasick but someone taught her a trick before the boob cruise and it worked like a charm. She took a product called Bo-nine (not sure of the spelling) but I assume it is much like gravol. The trick is to take it the night before the cruise. The product is effective for 24 hours but like most other of this kind, it tends to cause sleepiness. Taking it the night before got the drowsiness out of her system but it was still amazingly effective for seasickness. The boob cruise is part of the Temptation's experience and I would recommend that you don't miss it.
Although the resort is great you don't want to miss the cruise. That will give you memories to last a lifetime.
last year I took gravol before the cruise and was tired the whole trip.. I know there is stuff on the market that doesn't cause drowsiness, I would suggest taking that.. but if the weather is nice there will be no issue and there is such a huge party going on.. you wont notice any motion.. lol I recommend going on the Boobs Cruise because on Boobs Cruise day.. the resort is more quiet cause the party is on the boat!!!
I bought the patch you put behind your ear, not knowing that I had to put on 12 hours before....so took a gravol instead never got sick but after lunch on beach I wanted to crash...cruise was alot of fun. Also took ferry another day over to island and rented golf cart for the day, and we really enjoyed that as well. Would do it all again...
We've had very few people sea sick this year. More than 1000 people so far over 20 trips and I'd guess the number who were actually sick to be less than 10. The boats we use are large 57 feet and very stable, we have been really lucky with the weather this year too. As for how many the boat can hold, we use two boats - one has a capacity of 66 the other a capacity of 80. I usually close new sign ups before we reach capacity, although now we are out of high season I don't expect us to reach capacity for the rest of this year.
We both get very seasick. We use the scopalamine (sp)patches and they work great! THe water was not all that rough, but we know from past experience that does not take much of a rolling wave to get us hanging over the edge.
don''t take gravol!!!!!! i took it(not on Steves Boobs Cruise) and passed out from drinking on it too! oh and somehow ended up butt naked lol. seriously don't take that!!
I feel for anyone suffering sea sickness. Was fine on the cruise, but felt a bit funny after snorkelling the whole day at Xel-Ha. A work colleague told me the other day you can get sea sickness from 'bobbing' around swimming in lake or sea water, so it might have been that, or it might have been staying up drinking until 3am on the day of our trip! The boat was very stable, even though the sea was choppy on the trip I was on. As I recall, Dancing Sean told us it had been touch and go whether the harbour master was going to let small vessels out on the water the day of our cruise because it was fairly choppy.
If you go on Steve's Boobs Cruise, you are actually taking a very important part of your TTR experience along with you on the boat. Don't miss it! There's another cure for seasickness, but it's not very well recognized. Drink lots of beer while on the boat. You laugh, but it works. Get a buzz on, depress the sensorium regarding the equilibrium (that thing that keeps the non-drunken from stumbling, eh?) and wallah, no sea-sickness. It has worked for me each and every time oon a boat my entire life.
