I have a question about the booze cruise my wife get sea sick but is thinking about trying to go. She is normally okay if she is moving but if she is just sitting still in floating that's where she seems to get really sick how long are you in the water? What is a typical day like

    Has she ever tried Dramamine?

You have to start this stuff several hours before you go to sea. But, I've never had it NOT work.

I used to go offshore a lot (lived in Charleston). I'd get sick about 20% of the time, until I started taking motion sickness meds. Never again.

Stuff is cheap. I highly recommend it.

get your dr to prescribe the motion sick patch. it works for 3 days so it would cover all her activities

There is so much action on the boat, there is no reason she should sit still in one place. Plus, the alcohol helps drown away the sea sickness!

    Dramamine "fuzzes" me out, too.

But, if I can still fish on the stuff.......a Boobs Cruise ought to be a cinch!

Dramamine puts me out like a light. Ginger pills help me though. They can upset your tummy if you take a lot of them, but if you take one every now and then for a couple of days before, they'll really help with the motion sickness.

So can I get somEone to give me the outline of the cruise? How long are you in the boat. Does it move constantly or do you flat around a lot

We board the boat between 10 - 10:30 AM and sail toward the island. We stop for snorkeling (about 45 min), then we hit the island for lunch. So figure about 2 hours on the boat in the morning. After lunch we stay on the island for fun games and relaxing on the beach. Then back on the boat for about another 2 hours of sailing back to Cancun with a stop for skinny dipping in the ocean.

We talked with a couple that was wearing the patch for motion sickness and the guy said he usually gets very seasick. He has problems riding in the backseat of a car for more than 5 minutes even. However the patch worked great for him, he was drinking and having fun, you'd never guess he gets seasick.

Another trick for mild seasickness is to drink a ginger ale...or the ginger pills as dmlw mentions. It really does help.
