Someone in our party (oh, shit, it's just me so that's a bit awkward) has a problem if the boat's a-rocking. From waves people...what are you all thinking? So here's my question for the 4-29 voyage (that will surely go down as one of the greatest in Boobs Cruise lore but will never be written or spoken about again) My seasickness only occurs when the seas are pretty rough. Hit me hard on a snorkel trip in Bermuda and a dive in Hawaii. Never was an issue in the Carribean. Are we talking glass like conditions where we cruise or am I packing some meds?
I get motion sickness all the time. Meds bring me down - dry mouth, sleepy, dilated eyes - enter Ginger Root. No side affects OR motion sickness. The.perfect. OTC. Treatment!
You never know on how calm or rough it may be from day to day and even during the cruise. If you suffer sea sickness I suggest the meds. No one likes to be sick. Saw a couple our last cruise and it was no fun for them or their mate.
Ask your Dr. For a RX for the ear patch for motion sickness. Deb gets motion sickness easy on boats and planes. And it seems to do the trick. It looks like a 3/4" round bandaid that you put behind your ear an hour before your voyage.
Courtney and I have never gotten sea sick on any boat...from my fishing boat to the Boobs Cruise or our Caribbean cruises. The area from Temptation to the beach club on Isla Mujeres is generally fairly calm. We were on Boobs Cruise this past December on a VERY windy day. The boat captain sped us across the bay at full throttle so that we could slowly cruise back and forth along the island where the water was calm. No one got sick that I’m aware of, but it was a very bouncy ride. You can’t predict the weather, so if you’re worried, I’d definitely take the advice of the others to be prepared with meds.
We have always had to hold on. Rocky. One thing though is we could see land the entire time. I don’t get sick as long as can.
I would bring and take the meds, I was the one that was sick on our last Boobs Cruise and let me tell you the Boobs Cruise stone cold sober is a different experience. FUN still but I like to at least have a shot or 2
Pack meds, just in case. Our half-dozen or so BC have all been relatively smooth, except for one, which was a little rough. Not too bad at all when compared to what you'd experience in the full ocean, rather than the Gulf.
