am I the only one who thinks the worst thing about the new TTR is that the boobs are now below the water line in the sexy pool?
I'm sure you will still see plenty of boobs while there, so it's hardly a major problem. Men's bums have always been below the water, and most women love a nice arse, doesn't stop us looking as they walk around the sexy pool
There are sooooo many ledges and side areas to hang on that I think this is a non issue from the perspective of seeing boobs. It is more of an inconvenience for those about 5’3” or below as they have to do some tippy toes and holding drink up. But there are many steps and ledges and raised areas to hang. I think the bigger issue is as the temps drop thru November, December and into Feb we will start to hear a lot about the water being too cold. It was a high of 84 daily for our trip going down to mid to upper 70s in the eve and during the day the water was just right but in the evening many exited stating too cold.
Which leads to the inevitable "is the pool heated "??? We usually go late January or mid February, there have been times where the pool itself was virtually empty, lots of sitting on the sides or standing in the ankle deep areas.
I would think that a heated pool would be a high priority if they are planning to play in the $5-800/night game. I don't remember the Breathless pool being cold!
I'm 5'1" and we just got back. It is way too high up IMHO but that is the way the pool is designed - the intake/filtration system is above the top step. Basically, it was built as an infinity pool without being an infinity pool. They are not going to be able to drop the level or the filters won't work. It not only was above my boob level it was almost to my chin. It was a pain in the ass to be on tiptoes to keep my tumbler above the water line for so many hours. My solutions were to either park my ass on a bar stool or find a tall hot guy to hang onto. Both solutions worked well! As to the temp, the pool is warm-ish but on the one day with a good breeze, it felt really cold! The rest of the time it was heated warm enough during the day. Since the sun dips behind the towers at about 4:30 in the winter, it does get cold quickly. Solution: we had over 60+ people in the hot tub trying to keep warm while wet, which is fun in its own right.
I wonder what is considered "heated" in Cancun? We went to the GP twice, and they had zero heat in their pool. It was hardly used when we were there end of Nov. one year, and it was only used during games when we went around the end of Oct. the next time. I talked to people who went to the Sens last year, and they said it was really cold, and colder than TTR this year. We got back a few weeks ago. There is heat that comes out of a few of the jets, but not very much, and not near enough or hot enough to warm the pool up to anything that would be considered warm, in my opinion. I went over to the quiet pool one day, and it was definitely cooler than the sexy pool, so the sexy pool is heated some. Temperature is very subjective, but unless something drastically changes, and I doubt it will, the pool is always going to be considered too cold, and too deep. Seems like a pretty big f'up, as that area is the focal point of the resort, during the day. Not having bathrooms anywhere near the pool as well, just makes you wonder what thoughts were even put into it?
We just returned after a long weekend hanging out at the pool. The air temperature was in the 80's all weekend with strong sun most of the time. The pool temperature was nearly perfect. I did notice that the water coming from the jets was warmer than the pool water so it was being heated to some extent. While on the topic of water temperature, we also tried out the hot tub. It was comfortably warm but not hot. I have no doubt this was an intentional temperature setting as it was consistent all three nights.
That was exactly our experience a few weeks ago. When it's sunny out the water temp is fine, but some will still find it on the cool side. It's overcast days, that I think will be a big problem. I think the hot tub temp was perfect the time that we were there.
