So, I went to the flicks last night and saw Blood Diamond. Anyone seen it? I thought it was excellent. When the credits rolled, the whole place just sat there in silence, no-one moved, no bundle for the door like normal. It really is. Same thing happened in the theatre here....credits began to roll at the end of the movie and no one said a word and no one moved for sevceral minutes.
Provoked such a reaction, I had tears in my eyes. I thought DiCaprio was really good in it I have to say, I've never really been a fan of his for some reason.
He was very good in it indeed, Jen. I think it was a definite Oscar performance if I ever saw one but I don't think he's going to win it. I think that movie will provoke a reaction out of the majority of people who see it. Like you said, it's not for everyone but certainly is an excellent movie that makes you think.
Yes, Blood Diamond was excellent !! A "must see" movie !! Leo's acting was great and Oscar worthy, but I liked his role better in "The Departed".
i personally dont like him as an actor, but ive heard a bunch of good reviews on it, I just might go see it
He's not my favorite by any stetch of the imagination, Fletch. Something about him just never sits quite right with me. But he was excellent in this one. Go see it. I think you'll like it.
Completely agree Karan! I dont think he will either but I'd be happy to see him win it. I've told all my mates to go see it!
