The CFE offers this on their website for those who've had their service changed to "programmed" billing (using a card which is read electronically) but would prefer to receive bills every two months, as they did before programmed billing was introduced. http://app.cfe.gob.mx/Aplicaciones/CCFE/SELCasa/Solicitudes/CambiodeModalidad.aspx Has anyone tried to use this method of restoring their service to bimonthly billing? A neighbor tried but for some reason was unsuccessful with it.
I have now had experience with this process, because I helped someone else do it. It was fast and easy to do. The customer got an email from CFE confirming that their billing method was being changed back to getting a printed bill, every two months, just as before.
