Hi guys, I've been looking for store that sells bike. Sears is far too expensive and Wal-Mart only want to sell me the borken down floor models. If someone could recommend a place that'd be great.

The one I use is just next to Market 28, on the road that leads M28 to Wal Mart centro. Its next to a paint store(Comex, I think its called)

Soriana and Mega sell decent bikes, Bimex brand, at reasonable prices.

Presumably, based on v8eyedoc's comment, you are not in training for a triathlon or iron man competition. Gimanca, there is a decent bike shop for a more serious ride, at Cancun Oulet Mal,f/k/a Paseo Cancun. It faces Andres Quintana Roo, to the right of Italianis.

Rawkus, mis that bike shop still open?

Thanks T.J. - I didn't think that he was! And I Googled Benotto bicycles and they all have steel frames & now made in Mexico.. If the OP is looking for something to pedal his butt around town - anything will do! And the price range for the Benotto would indicate that it is not suited for triathalons or an Ironman. Even 15-16 years ago, my road bike was constructed of carbon fiber and not steel. AND cost me just about $1,500.00 American.

TJ: Yup, it was open last week, at least :)

They have a decent range of bikes, anything from 1800 pesos to "no limit".

There's another bike shop on Nichupte around the La Luna area.

I think I got my bike in Soriana or somewhere - can't remember now? SamCuncun got the same one - maybe he'll remember.

It cost about 3000 pesos and I took it to one of the bike shops where the "tune it up" for you for like 250 pesos.
