One pool, the lagoon pool, is the only place they are allowing topless sunbathing anymore. No more topless sunbathing at the main pool. Two restaurants that used to be included are now either for Sian Ka'an guests, or you must pay an additional fee. Very disappointing. We may be changing our February reservation.
I agree, very disappointing! July is going to be our first time there, and the whole reason we picked this place was All Inclusive, Top Optional, at an affordable price.
We just returned from our 2nd trip (and last) to the GOS The black hole which use to be included is now an additional fee. Unless you upgrade. The topless pool is now the lagoon pool, which no one really uses until the sun starts to set and shade hits the main pool or the foam party. They seem to have less activities going on then they did a year ago, same 4 things everyday with the exception of the foam party day (yoga, beach volleyball, trivia, water volleyball) and to get them to help you set up something else to do to get people involved like a flip cup game or beer pong was impossible, we asked if they had a table (as we played the year before) they told us they had no table, the next day they are doing cooking lessons by the pool and bring out a portable table. When we ask them about the table after the cooking lessons end, they say its broken and put it away? Seemed to be fine a few mins ago... Activities crew just do the assigned activities every day and sit by the towel hut the rest of the day. Our friends upgraded to premium and had the presidential suite, they still could not drink all the booze at the bars, they were told extra charge for things like grey goose. $7 a drink it you wanted that. That seems crazy. But better then the Grand Oasis Cancun, we went there one night for a change of scenery and they told us a Mojito was an extra charge even as grand and premium guests.
Sounds like they have changed the policy after numerous complaints. Although the lagoon pool is now the only "designated" area for topless, the hotel has now said that it is once again allowed at all the pools.
