Will be going to Akumal for the first time in May/June. Really want to snorkel with whale sharks. Can anyone recommend a tour company please?
Akumal is quite a long way from where the Whale Sharks are. They are at the North of the Yucatan so about a 2 hr drive. Season starts mid May so try to book later May/June for the best chance. As for good companies, things to look out for are smaller boats so you spend more time in the water per person and a money back guarantee if you dont get to see them.
