Hey guys, Searching around online to book for last week of August. To my Canadians, which website did you find the best deal? Did you find it cheaper to wait last minute or no? TIA. Looking forward to checking out the new TTR!
We booked our flights (Westjet) and room (Expedia) separate the first time we went. We booked the room through the secret sale this next time and will book flights separate again. The BEST website I have found to compare prices is Tripcentral.ca. Put in your info and you can literally look at different prices for each day, so if you're not picky on exact dates it's super helpful.
I always like browsing tripcentral.ca then I call my travel agent and she takes care of it. That way I have that contact and someone who gives a shit if something goes wrong.
interjet.com. Cheaper than the next lowest priced site (Expedia) and had same flights, dates for $150 LESS than expedia per person. Prices change wildy week to week tho for the same flights and dates (not sure if this happens with all booking sites) so if you are still a few months out, keep going back to interjet.com and checking. Interjet was also the only carrier that flew nonstop from Vancouver on the dates we chose. I also heard from someone who flew with them that they had great service and that the company had their planes built with fewer rows of seats, giving more leg room.
We always search through Kayak and then compare. If you can be flexible with dates, this site lets you flex search so you can pick next day depart at sometimes half price. Well worth a first screening.
