Hello, I'm planning to be in Cancun the week of 2/2/13. The last time I was in Cancun I saw the timeshare presentation at the Westin Lagunamar, and was pretty impressed. I would like to rent a unit there for a week to see if I really like it before maybe buying there. Westin has the studios available for about $1400 on their website, but I would like to see if I can do a lot better than that through a private owner. I've tried Redweek, eBay, Sellmytimeshare (or whatever) without a lot of success. Is there maybe a better way I can go about this than just this random hit or miss? Thanks!
I have a friend working for Starwood Vacation Ownerships. Ill contact her today and maybe she can get a good deal for you.
Google time share rentals in Cancun you will finds quite a few listings. Also google Westine Lagunama rentals. Another site is timeshareshyowner.com. They are worth giving a try.
Thanks NicHamburg! gabesz, that's what i've been doing. Since I didn't find anything, I would have to keep checking all these sites every week or so potentially for months and that's why I'm looking for an easier way.
I spoke to my friend Michelle, and i suggest that you speak to her directly. Shes not on the board here. Give her a call 561-829-3144 (thats her Vonage Line) (shes cool with posting her number here) I know they have great promotions so maybe they have also something for you. Cheers from frigging cold Europe Nico
Vacation rentals My 2 pesos on this....check with your friends, see if any own timeshare/vacation club and get them to give you a week, and arrange it....or....my now favorite place to locate cool vacation rentals, VRBO.com.......thousands of rental properties around the world, at fantastic prices.....I'm coming back to Cancun in Jan/Feb for 2 weeks, at a condo at Punta Cancun Towers, between the RIU Cancun, and the Mocambo restaurant....for $200/day......4 bedrooms/4 baths.....6 of us going....pretty darn cheap.....opcorn:
I think you can get timeshares a RoyalResort.com pretty cheap doing that time or rent from the newsletter they have. I go around that time also and hear of places people can pick up from the newsletter or the royal web site. :huepfen021:
